Solidgold Helmets Sdn Bhd (Co Reg No: 198001011644, 65430-A) is the leading manufacturer of motorcyclist helmet in Malaysia. Established in 1980, we started making handmade fiberglass helmets and then simple non painted helmets. In 1985, our company’s name was changed to the current name, Solidgold Helmets Sdn Bhd, when we started manufacturing helmets in a bigger way by investing in new moulds, spray booths, ovens and the latest manufacturing machineries.
The word “Solidgold” is a direct translation from the chinese name of our Chairman founder which is “Kim Onm”. The word “Kim” means “Gold” and “Onm” means “Solid” or “Firm”. Hence, the word “Solidgold Helmets”. Our most popular brand helmet is “SGV” refers to “Solid Gold Values”. Our Chairman’s Values in the manufacturing of helmets which are “Quality, Safety & Style”.
Solidgold Helmets has always been in the leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of motorcyclist helmets and has achieved many firsts in Malaysia. We are the first to test our Apollo brand helmets under the new Malaysian Standards for motorcyclist helmets, MS1:1996.

We are the first to make a SIRIM approved children helmet more than 30 years ago. No one wants to make motorcyclist helmet for children at that time as there was no demand for it. Nevertheless, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we decided to manufacture it because we felt that children must wear proper and approved helmets when riding on a motorcycle. Today, we make the smallest and best design children helmet with integrated visor approved by SIRIM.
We continue to innovate by being first to make helmets with water decals in Malaysia and setting new trends of very bright and colourful helmets with matching colour caps, matt coloured helmets, leather helmets, double visor helmets and helmets with chrome rubber lining.

Solidgold Helmets’ experience in making helmets extends beyond the shores of Malaysia. We have been OEM manufacturer for famous international brands of helmets with experience and know how in making helmets that meet European (ECE 22.05) and American (DOT) standards. We also export helmets overseas to countries in South East Asia and Africa. We also make customised helmets for local authorities and companies.
In 2008, Solidgold Helmets became the first motorcyclist helmet manufacturer in Malaysia to be certified by SIRIM and awarded the ISO 9001 Certificate for Quality Management System.
